For many years on 1st January, my grandma would organise an annual lunch for the elders to enjoy. We had to arrive early in the morning to prepare the essentials and prizes before the elderly arrived. We prepared a buffet spread for lunch and lucky-draw segments for them to win prizes. Although it was tiring, it was worth the effort to see the elderly enjoying themselves. It was also an opportunity to catch up on my relatives and friends.
