Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is an open-world RPG exploring through ancient Greece where we either play as Kassandra or Alexios, both of which are Spartan siblings descendants of Leonidas. From family drama to the cult of Kosmos, the storyline was well-written. The visuals were impressive especially the facial expressions of the protagonists and the historical locations were beautiful. Voice acting was also very expressive. The storylines were consistent and given the chance to make important decisions came drastic consequences. I had the freedom to be whom I wanted my protagonist to be. The combat and gameplay mechanics had minor changes ever since Assassin's Creed Origins but does not greatly affect the gameplay. The game has given me emotional reactions towards the characters such as Polyphemos, a poet, and a pacifist. He was a big man fearing for his life due to bandits threatening him despite him just longing for a friend which made me want to bring him along my journey through Greek. The side-quests, however, can become tiresome and dry when forced to grind in order to progress through the main story.
